I can’t say enough about Dr. Kolbaba’s program and the supplement protocol that I’ve been on. Some of the improvements I’ve experienced are that I’m exercising daily, I’m starting to grow hair on my arms again, and I don’t have to “talk myself into” physical activity.
Last summer I needed to take an allergy pill daily, now . . . none! My blood pressure medications have been cut in half and my blood pressure remains low. AND, I don’t get stiff after long car trips anymore. The results of my testing show that I continue to improve!

People ask me what my motivation is for walking everyday. It’s simple; it’s the one thing that I do for myself that I truly enjoy! Everyday I choose walking as my top priority of “things to do”; everything else follows.
I make a point of walking at least one to three miles a day. I usually walk three, regardless of the Weather conditions. I entered the UltraMeal Challenge Contest and worked hard at getting healthy and reaching my goals. With Dr. Kolbaba’s health coaching, a controlled diet and walking six miles a day, I went from a size 12 to a size 2-4. Today, I maintain my health and weight using this same criteria.
When I started working for Dr. Kolbaba, our staff went on a field trip to the Museum of Science & Industry to see the “Body Worlds” exhibit. One of the cross-section displays featured a cadaver, which illustrated how excessive fat can overtake the body and press against the organs. I think of that display often, and decided I never want to be in that kind of condition!
My advice to those of you looking to lose weight: if you are eating right and exercising (walking) and you are not losing, walk more and be consistent. I had great results when I increased my walking to six miles a day, three in the morning and three at night. If you are serious about your health, you CAN find the time to walk!
Having reached my goal, I walk everyday to maintain my health and enjoyment. I feel great, I’m rarely sick, and my blood pressure is that of an athlete – and that’s just from walking consistently everyday!
You can do it, too!

Dr. Kolbaba has taught me so much about health and wellness and I know I wouldn’t feel this awesome today if it wasn’t for him. I cleared so much junk out of my system with the help of his eating plan and education.
I’ve learned how important cholesterol is to my brain. My total cholesterol is not important. My energy is through the roof, I sleep like a baby, my joint pain is gone, mental clarity has greatly improved, fluctuating feelings of anxiety- gone, constipation- gone. No more bladder infections.
I feel amazing! Dr. Kolbaba has been so instrumental in my health journey!

I am 46 years old and originally came to Dr. K’s office because my family and I were concerned about my declining health. For decades I had tried to put myself into a healthy life style without success. Finally, years after a quadruple heart bypass and diabetes, my family prompted me to take action.
Let me be clear about my last statement. After having a heart bypass, I was still unsuccessful in developing a healthy life style. Truthfully, it was my family that pushed me to take action and begin with Dr. Kolbaba’s detoxification and health coach program.
The health coaching program offers proven health results along with the guidance needed to succeed. For example, the bio-impedance analysis test (BIA) measurements show the makeup of your body in relation to fat and muscle mass. You can’t measure that with a weight scale! There were times I was relation to fat and muscle mass. You can’t measure that with a weight scale! There were times I was discouraged by slow weight loss but the bio-impedance measurement showed that I was improving my muscle mass and reducing my fat percentages. Along with the Dr. K’s counseling and encouragement, I muscle mass and reducing my fat percentages. Along with the Dr. K’s counseling and encouragement,
I have lost 30 pounds! Losing weight is a byproduct of getting healthier. Since I began the program, I have learned things about myself which have profoundly changed my life and life style.
Besides the customized nutritional program which has made me physically healthier, there
are psychological health improvements that have changed the way I think about myself. I was once resigned to what I thought was my genetic destiny of poor health. But I now know that I don’t have to live or die in poor health! Now I am filled with life and life affirming activities. Good food, good thoughts and much improved health!
I know I have added years to my life. But more importantly, I have added life to my years! I am doing things I haven’t done since I was in my 20’s. I feel great physically and mentally. My family and I have a brighter future because health coaching has changed my life.

I am pleased to share my healing story as a HealthQuest patient. I am 64 years old, a wife of 41 years with three grown sons and 7 grandchildren. I became a patient of Dr. Kolbaba’s about 9 years ago after hearing his HealthQuest Radio show. It was an answer to prayer during a tumultuous time in my personal life.
I had reached a point where I was exhausted; not sleeping well, hurting in places I didn’t know existed. I managed to get through the daily work and family responsibilities with coffee, diet soda and of course, sugary snacks. I have battled my weight with “all or nothing” yo-yo dieting, and although I had dropped weight quickly, it rapidly returned.
I had always been interested in nutrition and alternative medicine. I took vitamins and had seen chiropractors off and on for 20 years. I was not a fan of the AMA drugs and the surgery approach as I had lost family members to cancer and watched as they suffered through conventional treatments and soon died. I was frustrated that their physicians were not at all concerned about nutrition, sleep habits, soon died. I was frustrated that their physicians were not at all concerned about nutrition, sleep habits, emotional or spiritual needs.
My first visit to Dr. Kolbaba’s office was a wonderful surprise! The atmosphere was warm, inviting and professional; the staff relaxed and caring. I’m so grateful for the patience and concern shown as Dr. Kolbaba has gradually empowered me to take control of all aspects of my health. The Medical Symptoms Questionnaire, Nutritionally Based Comprehensive Physical Exam, X-rays, Blood work and Saliva tests gave me answers to what I had suspected all along. Thanks to years of stress, emotional eating habits and inconsistent exercise, I was now a depressed, menopausal woman with imbalanced hormones and depleted adrenal glands! I also needed orthotics for my back, foot, knee problems and most of all, I came to realize I needed a supervised detoxification program! It was my desire to stop taking hormones and anti-depressants, too.
I began my “adventure in health” by scheduling regular Health Coaching sessions and holding strict compliance to my personal nutritional protocol prescribed by the doctors. It has been time, effort and money very well spent! I’m Health Coaching weekly in order to complete my goals with a consistent detoxification program and exercise plan. My journey of 9 years has been slow as I’ve had to work through many emotional food issues and replace old negative coping strategies. Dr. Kolbaba has dealt with me compassionately and helped get me back on track. I have learned to be patient with myself and appreciate this journey we call health!
I feel wonderful now and have a lifestyle I enjoy! I have lost over 32 lbs. so far and I am becoming an even healthier role model for my husband, grown children and grandchildren. The accountability and encouragement of keeping a food journal and attending Health Coaching sessions with Dr. Kolbaba have been critical to changing my thinking and long standing habits.
My health journey with Dr. Kolbaba and his wonderful staff continues to be an answer to prayer. Thank you!

“My Healing Story” probably isn’t really all that different from most people. I had noticed a co-worker had lost a lot of weight and I inquired about their process. That was when I heard about Dr. David Kolbaba and Associates.
After talking with my co-worker and hearing about this transformation, just the idea of being healthy was intriguing. I had gained a lot of weight over a period of five years and was feeling terrible, both inside and out. I had very little energy and was always tired, wanting to sleep a lot. I hated shopping for clothes or always being out of breath when taking a short walk. There was an ache in my legs that always seemed to linger no matter what I did. I hated going for my annual check-up because I always had to deal with my doctor telling me to lose weight, but never telling me what to do about it.
I was in a place where I needed to make a change but didn’t know where to start. I knew if I didn’t make this change, I would probably end up diabetic like many people in my family. Most of all, I was simply tired of feeling the way that I did and I was ready for a fresh start.
When I first came to Dr. Kolbaba and Associates I was 251 pounds. I felt tired and achy all of the time. I was eating out quite a bit and going out for dinner and drinks with my friends almost every weekend. In the beginning, the whole reason for visiting the clinic was about losing the weight and addressing the subsequent fatigue. In a matter of 9 months, I have lost roughly 70 pounds and feel great! I exercise everyday and have lots of energy. But the truth is, the whole experience isn’t totally about the weight loss, it really is about getting healthy. Now, I am getting to a healthier place, at whatever weight that may be. I now have confidence in myself that I haven’t had in years.
The care that I have been receiving has impacted my way of life in many different ways. I don’t eat out as much, but if I do, I make better food choices. I eat more fruits and vegetables and always carry a healthy snack with me, so that if I find myself hungry when I am out running errands, I have something that will carry me until I get home. This keeps me from stopping for fast food, which fills me up at the moment but in a few hours I will want to eat again. I now think about my food choices more than I used to. The experience was not easy in the beginning, because I felt as if I was changing everything that I had known before, which in some ways I was. Now, I am cooking and planning my meals, avoiding fast food and exercising every day.
Although my experience has been one of total change, the one important factor that I never expected is the support I receive in the “health coaching sessions”. I didn’t realize how food was my way of coping with a stressful day at work or an argument with a family member or friend. When I choose not to eat when I’m upset, I have to ask myself, “How do people do this and still stay on track?”
This is where health coaching sessions are critical to my success. The doctors help me understand my feelings are normal and thru their support, I’ve learned having a constructive hobby is a great way to cope with those stressful situations. I now understand why one food choice is better than another, which helps take the mystery out of the entire
situation.
My family and my friends can see the difference in me, not only in my appearance, but also in how I carry myself. I am constantly told how wonderful I look in my clothes, but more importantly that I seem happier and less stressed. Others can see the hard work and effort that I have put into becoming healthy. I know now that I would not have gotten this far with my medical physician. Not because he is bad at his job, but I would not have gotten the attention or guidance to make the changes that I needed to.
After starting this process with Dr. David C. Kolbaba and Associates, I am not only happy with my continued results, but I feel as though it was one of the best decisions I have ever made!

I began my health journey over 7 years ago. I cannot begin to list the many changes I have made related to how I eat, what I put on my body, the products I now use in my home or how I use energy healing techniques and meditation to calm and heal myself. It has been a progressive and wonderful journey.
The one area I had learned a great deal about but had not focused on directly was my gut. 70%+ of your immune system, many of your hormones and your ability to absorb nutrition resides in this delicate part of your system. The leading cause of death for people over 50 is colon cancer. It was an area that I really need to focus on. I was in really good heath, I was very active as an avid, competitive tennis player but I knew there was more I could to for my overall health and my performance on the tennis court.
I observed my mom and her partner’s work with Dr Kolbaba and had researched some local integrative health practitioners in my home town of Charlotte, NC. After seeing my mom and her partner’s amazing success with Dr Kolbaba I decided that I wanted to follow his protocol for cleaning out my colon.
Since I live in Charlotte the process was all done remotely. We had one meeting in his office, I completed all the tests and was ready to start the process. We met once a week on the phone to talk about my results, I don’t believe being remote hindered my progress at all. I do believe you have to really think about what is important in your life and you have to make this your priority to be successful.
Giving up other things in anticipation of gaining good health is worth the price in my book. I look at it this way – can
you really put a price on having good health? I would rather have my health than anything else in life. I have seen results beyond my expectations following Dr Kolbaba’s protocol.
It feels like we have re-calibrated my metabolism. I feel like I am in my 30s again (I am currently 50 years old). I used to play
tennis and would be sore and tired the next day. Now, people see me get off the court and ask if I played or was just about to go on the court! I had a competitor in her 30s ask me how I keep my energy so high. I played a high school girl who had to take breaks because she was tired! My energy is amazing!
My muscles used to need a major stretch after a match and now they spring back like I was a kid again. They are wonderfully elastic. My hair seems thicker and my eyebrows even seem thicker. There are many other changes that I have experienced as well.
If I were to begin this 7 year journey all over again the only thing I would change is doing this protocol first. Beginning by cleaning out your gut sets all your other systems on the right path back to good health.
Don’t get me wrong, this process is hard. It takes a great deal of determination, patience, and more determination but it is the ultimate healing for your colon and your body. The process also helps to instill behavior patterns that you can continue after you are done. For instance, I could never drink 8 glasses of water a day. I can do that now and have a process for making sure I do that every day for the rest of my life.
My sisters have seen a huge change in me and are trying to follow some of the protocols themselves because they have learned so much from watching me go through it and have seen the amazing changes in me. This has certainly been a life changing experience for me and I was a very healthy, disciplined person to begin with. Imagine what it can do for you!

“God’s grace is His strength and ability to accomplish in our lives what we could never do on our own.” – Joyce Meyer
All my life I have struggled with my weight, even as a young girl I was always “pudgy” and consequently, I was constantly made fun of because of it. I continued struggling with my weight and when I got married was within four pounds of my goal. I found food to be a wonderful source of comfort and ate my pain, hurt, fear and every other emotion away with its comforting effects. Food became my companion, my lover, and my closest friend. I ballooned up to 300 pounds and tried every conceivable diet available. I probably lost and gained a thousand pounds in my lifetime. Every year that went by my life became more sedentary and everyday activities became more of a challenge.
There was so much I needed to do but between working full time and my long, daily commute, there wasn’t much time left. I was so tired after work that doing anything in the evening was out of the question. On the weekends, even the slightest activity was so exhausting that I would sleep for hours in the middle of the day. I was thoroughly disgusted with my life and constantly berated myself for being so weak in this area. I physically felt awful. My legs and ankles were swollen from water retention and my joints were stiff and painful. I was very lethargic and had a difficult time getting motivated to do anything. If I did force myself do to something physical I ached so much at night that I couldn’t sleep. I was taking three or more aspirin a night just to ease the soreness. I found it difficult to bend over to tie my shoes and when climbing stairs I had to stop and rest half way up. Then God spoke to me. He simply said, “If you don’t do something about your weight you will not live much longer.” I cried out to God, “Please help me, I can’t do this myself!”
When I began my weight loss journey with Dr. Kolbaba, I brought my list of health concerns and flatly asked him if he thought he could help me. He told me that after one week on his program I would feel like a new person. I wasn’t convinced but knew I had to do something. After initial tests and examinations, I finally started my detoxification program. It didn’t take a week – within four days I felt like a new person! I have made steady progress over the last ten months losing more than 116 pounds! I went from a size 26 to a size 6 and I’m still losing! I feel absolutely incredible! I can do things today that I could only dream about ten months ago! I feel like a totally different person, full of energy and full of life!
Dr. Kolbaba is a master at health coaching, mixing the right blend of encouragement and challenge. It felt good to have someone believe in me. He would frequently tell me, “You will never weigh that again.” At first I would smile at that simple little statement but as I heard it more and more, I eventually started to believe it myself. Dr. Kolbaba’s often frank approach can be very disconcerting to some, but the Lord knew it was just what I needed. Although I am a very determined woman, I still needed someone to hold me accountable for the results I achieved or those I haven’t yet achieved. For every victory, Dr. K would increase the challenge, especially in the area of exercise and physical activity.
When I complained there weren’t enough hours in the day, Dr. Kolbaba would say, “Don’t give me any excuses, Diana, just figure it out!” It may have been exasperating at the time, but today I actually miss it movement into my schedule.
Next to God, getting and keeping my body healthy had to become the most important thing in my life. Everything evolved around it – family, work, leisure activities, everything! When I came to believe that with my whole heart, then I was ready to make the commitment and not feel sorry for myself any longer. I wasn’t giving something up; I was investing in something better! I’m happier now than I’ve ever been and more connected to all that I value most in my life.
